Overview

World Vision International Rwanda is inviting qualified Rwandan professionals to apply for the position of Resource Development Manager based at its Head Office in Kigali, Rwanda. This senior leadership role is an excellent opportunity to join one of the country's largest humanitarian and child-focused development organizations, which operates across all 30 districts of Rwanda.

The Resource Development Manager will provide strategic leadership for World Vision Rwanda's resource mobilization, donor engagement, and external partnership agenda. Reporting directly to the National Director and serving on the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will lead efforts to secure sustainable funding that supports the organization's 2026โ€“2030 strategy focused on improving the lives of vulnerable children, families, and communities.

This position is responsible for developing funding strategies, strengthening relationships with institutional donors, foundations, government agencies, private sector partners, and international development organizations. The role also oversees business development, grant acquisition, funding diversification, and organizational positioning within Rwanda's development landscape.

World Vision is looking for an experienced leader who can identify funding opportunities, guide proposal development, manage strategic partnerships, and ensure long-term organizational growth.   • Requirements

    Education

    • Master's degree in International Development, Business Administration, Economics, Public Policy, International Relations, Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field.

    • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field combined with substantial senior-level leadership experience may be considered.

    • Degrees obtained from foreign institutions require an equivalence certificate from the Rwanda Higher Education Council (HEC).

    Experience

    • Minimum 10โ€“12 years of progressive experience in resource mobilization, donor engagement, business development, and grant acquisition.

    • Senior leadership experience managing resource acquisition and funding portfolios.

    • Proven experience securing funding from bilateral, multilateral, UN, foundation, private sector, and domestic donors.

    • Experience leading complex proposal development and consortium partnerships.

    • Experience advising senior leadership on funding strategies and development financing.

    • Experience building high-performing teams and strengthening organizational capacity.

    Technical Skills

    • Resource mobilization and fundraising strategy development.

    • Donor engagement and partnership management.

    • Business development and funding pipeline management.
