Responsibilities

The Accounting Interns will assist senior accountants while learning and participating in accounting, tax, and audit activities.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare:
  • Daily financial reports
  • Weekly reports
  • Monthly financial statements
  • Quarterly reports
  • Annual financial statements

Tax & Statutory Compliance

• Prepare and/or review statutory filings to:
  • Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA)
  • Rwanda Social Security Board (RSSB)
  • Rwanda Development Board (RDB)

Audit & Financial Compilation

• Participate in:
  • Client financial audits
  • Audit planning and execution
  • Preparation of audit reports
• Support yearly financial compilations

Client Advisory Support

• Assist in:
  • Tax advisory services
  • Identification of tax risks
  • Financial problem-solving for clients

Administrative & Business Support

• Prepare:
  • Contracts
  • Business proposals
• Recommend improvements to:

  • Client accounting processes

Other Duties

• Perform additional tasks assigned by supervisors and senior accountants

Requirements

Education

Candidates must possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in:
  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Or related field

OR

• Have completed studies and be awaiting graduation

Professional Qualifications

Preferred candidates are:

• Qualified in CPA, ACCA, or other IFAC-accredited accounting programmes
  OR
• Currently pursuing advanced accounting qualifications

Professional Experience

Candidates should ideally have:

• At least 1 year of experience in:
  • Accounting
  • Finance
  • Audit
  • Related fields

Previous experience in accounting firms is an added advantage but not mandatory.

Technical Skills

Applicants should demonstrate:

• Microsoft Word proficiency
• Strong Excel skills
• Knowledge of cloud accounting software such as:
