  Job Overview

The Senior Procurement and Supply Chain Officer will manage end-to-end procurement and supply chain processes to ensure the efficient acquisition and delivery of goods and services.

The role provides leadership in procurement strategy, supplier management, and contract oversight while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procurement standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full procurement cycle, including:

  • Requisition review

  • Market research

  • Tender preparation

  • Bid evaluation

  • Negotiation and contracting

  • Purchase order management

• Ensure procurement activities follow organizational policies and regulations.

  Strategic Sourcing & Planning

• Develop procurement and supply chain strategies.

• Prepare annual procurement plans and category sourcing strategies.

• Ensure value for money, quality assurance, and timely delivery of goods and services.

  Supplier & Vendor Management

• Manage supplier prequalification and onboarding processes.

• Maintain and update vendor databases.

• Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.

  Contract Management

• Draft and review contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs).

• Monitor supplier performance and contract compliance.

• Address contract variations, disputes, and claims where necessary.

  Supply Chain Coordination

• Coordinate with operations and logistics teams on:

  • Delivery schedules

  • Customs clearance

  • Distribution logistics

  • Resolution of supply chain issues

    Reporting & Compliance

• Analyze procurement spending and supply risks.

• Prepare procurement performance reports and dashboards.

• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and audit-ready records.

• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and ethical standards.

  Leadership & Capacity Building

• Provide technical guidance and supervision to procurement staff.

• Promote best practices in procurement and supply chain management.

• Support emergency or priority procurement processes while maintaining compliance.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Procurement

  • Supply Chain Management

  • Business Administration

  • Finance

  • Engineering

  • Related fields

Preferred:

• Master’s degree or professional certification such as CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply).

  Experience

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in procurement and supply chain management

• At least 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory role

• Experience managing competitive tenders and high-value contracts

• Experience with ERP or procurement systems
