Responsibilities

• Financial Management: Oversee daily accounting, monthly reconciliations, and financial reporting using NetSuite.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Country Director to develop annual budgets, business plans, and cash flow forecasts using Adaptive software.
• Team Leadership: Directly supervise, train, and develop four key administrative, finance, and logistics officers.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure strict adherence to financial policies, government tax regulations, and internal/external audit requirements.
• Partner Support: Guide church partners in budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance for the Savings Group ministry.
• HR & Administration: Manage payroll processing, HR policy implementation, office security, and asset inventory tracking.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in mid-level accounting/bookkeeping, plus at least 2 years of direct staff management experience.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite preferred), financial analysis tools, and advanced Excel.
• Faith Commitment: Personal confession of Christian faith and a deep commitment to HOPE International’s mission.
• Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English; working knowledge of Kinyarwanda and French is highly preferred.
• Mobility: Willingness to travel regularly upcountry and occasionally internationally.
