BRAC International is seeking qualified, experienced, and motivated Rwandan professionals to join its Monitoring and Evaluation (MEL) Unit as Field Data Collectors / Enumerators. Successful candidates will support research, surveys, assessments, and routine data collection activities across BRAC's operational districts in Rwanda.

Responsibilities

The successful candidates will:

• Participate in training on research protocols and survey methodologies.
• Understand project objectives, ethical requirements, and study procedures.
• Work with project teams to mobilize communities before field activities.

Enumerators will:

• Conduct structured household and community surveys.
• Interview sampled respondents using standardized questionnaires.
• Collect quantitative and qualitative research data.
• Facilitate Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
• Conduct Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
• Record responses accurately and objectively.
• Ensure completeness and consistency of collected information.

The role includes:

• Reviewing collected data for errors and missing information.
• Participating in daily data quality checks.
• Correcting inconsistencies before data submission.
• Following sampling procedures and research protocols.
• Maintaining accurate documentation throughout field activities.

Successful candidates will:

• Participate in daily briefing and debriefing sessions.
• Report field progress and operational challenges.
• Collaborate closely with supervisors and fellow enumerators.
• Submit completed assignments and field observations on time.
• Represent BRAC professionally throughout fieldwork.

Responsibilities also include:

• Submitting completed questionnaires and field materials.
• Returning project equipment and documentation.
• Supporting final verification of collected data.
• Handing over all survey materials to the Monitoring and Evaluation team.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

• University Degree in:
  • Statistics
  • Social Sciences
  • Public Health
  • Related discipline

Candidates should have:

• Minimum 2 years of experience conducting field research.
• Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection.
• Experience supporting monitoring, evaluation, and impact assessments.
• Experience facilitating Focus Group Discussions (FGDs).
• Experience conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs).
• Familiarity with participatory research approaches.
• Experience using mobile data collection applications
