Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Direct the planning, implementation, and budget management of WASH interventions across the Mugombwa and Kigeme refugee camps.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Build and maintain strategic relationships with UNHCR, MINEMA, local authorities, and camp leadership to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Capacity Building: Train staff, partners, and refugee communities on WASH best practices, hygiene promotion, and infrastructure maintenance.
• MEAL & Reporting: Oversee monitoring and evaluation, manage project data, and ensure the timely submission of high-quality donor reports and success stories.
• Infrastructure Oversight: Conduct regular field visits to monitor WASH infrastructure, manage operational risks, and promptly address community requests and complaints.

Requirements

• Education: BSc in Water Resource, Hydrogeology, Sanitary, or Civil Engineering (A Master’s degree is preferred). Foreign degrees require HEC equivalence.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in emergency WASH within an international NGO, including at least 2 years in a managerial position.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in WASH design software (ArcGIS, ArchiCAD) and advanced MS Office skills.
• Methodologies: Strong practical knowledge of CLTS, CBEHPP, and PHAST approaches.
• Sector Expertise: Proven experience managing donor-funded projects, writing proposals, and working with vulnerable or refugee communities.
• Languages: Fluent in spoken and written English.
